Christopher Clinesmith's
Personal Form
(as performed on April
29, 2001)
Under Purple Belt Curriculum
|
This is the first form where students of the UKKD schools synthesize
what they know into a workable self-defense form. The criteria for the
form are five techniques and a minimum of fifteen basics (strikes, kicks,
or blocks.) It is often a linear form, meaning that it should generally
move towards 12 o'clock.
The Five Attackers
1. Step-Through Right Front Kick
2. Two Hand Front Wrist Grab
3. Step-Through Right Punch (from 1:30)
4. Rear Two Hand Shoulder Grab
5. Step-Through Right Overhead Club
1. Right Step-Through Punch
1. Step out to the right with your right foot with a downward block
(like Thrusting Salute).
2. Execute a right step-through front kick to the attacker's groin.
3. Land with a right inward elbow to the attacker's head.
4. Follow the right inward elbow with a right outward elbow.
5. Finish with a double anvil strike to the attackers solar plexus.
2. Two Hand Front Wrist Grab
1. Step back with your right leg into a left neutral bow as you pull
your wrists away from your attacker (using their thumbs as a weakness).
2. Shuffle your right leg behind your left leg and execute a left knife-edge
kick to the attacker's front kneecap.
3. Land in a left neutral bow with a back fist to the left temple.
4. Follow up with a right thrust punch the attacker's solar plexus.
5. Pull the attacker in for a knee to the solar plexus.
6. Push them away, landing back in a left neutral bow.
3. Step-Through Right Punch (from 1:30)
1. Step back with your right foot into a left neutral bow facing 45
degrees to the right and parry the punch with a left inward parry.
2. With the right hand, follow up with a right outward parry.
3. With the right hand, grab the attacker's right wrist, and execute
a left forearm strike, breaking the attackers right arm at the elbow.
4. Parry the attacker's arm down with the left hand and pin it to the
right side of your body.
5. Execute a right vertical punch to the attacker's right temple.
6. Pull the attacker in and execute a right knee to the attacker's
solar plexus.
7. Execute a right thrusting elbow to the attacker's head while pushing
the attacker away (as in Glancing Salute).
4. Rear Two Hand Shoulder Grab
1. Step over into a Chinese Hidden Feet position (as in Crash of the
Eagle).
2. Pivot into a right forward bow as your arm circles around your attacker's
arms pinning them to your right side. Your left hand should be checking
the attacker's right arm.
3. Shift back into neutral bow executing a right upward elbow to the
attacker's chin.
4. Follow up the upward elbow with an overhand claw to the attacker's
face.
5. Shuffle into your attacker and execute a right knife-edge kick to
the inside of the attacker's left knee.
6. Land back in a left neutral bow facing the rear.
7. Turn your head forward and step up the circle with the left foot
into a right neutral bow facing forward.
5. Step-Through Right Overhead Club
1. Do a left crossover behind the right leg while executing a right
inward parry.
2. Step off with the right foot and execute a left outward extended
outward block to the opponent's right wrist to counteract the opponent's
subsequent roundhouse club. Chamber the right hand and prepare for an uppercut.
3. Execute a rising right step through front kick to the attacker's
groin, and land in a right neutral bow facing forty-five degrees with an
uppercut to the attacker's chin.
4. As the right hand checks the opponent's left hand, grab the opponent's
club with the left hand and execute a left backhand/reinforced elbow strike
to the opponent's head while stepping the left foot forward into a horse
stance.
5. (Option: if the club is not available, execute a left elbow sandwich
to the opponent's head).
Pull to a horse stance and salute.
