American Kenpo Curriculum
(16 Technique Version)

Q: How many Kenpo black belts does it take to screw in a light bulb?
A: 100, 1 to do it and 99 to say "That's not how Mr. Parker showed me..."

The 16 technique curriculum is probably the second-most used of all American Kenpo curriculums. It was created by Mr. Brian Duffy and given the "okay" by Mr. Parker for use. Many say it was what he was going for eventually as he wanted to get from the 32-technique system to a 16-technique system but did not want such a drastic jump, so the 24-technique system was created. It just became popular due to it being published. I doubt we really will ever know the whole story, but until then here is the 16-technique curriculum. The techniques written here are not to be taken as the way to do them, but a way. I have added notes, grafting ideas, and other common options as well. They are also the same written techniques from the 24-technique page, just in a different order. They are not all the ideas, options, or grafting ideas, just some of them.
