Menacing Twirl (Rear- Left Hand Belt Grab)
1. An attacker at 6 o'clock grabs your belt with their left hand.
2. Step your right foot to 7 o'clock into a right rear twist stance. Pivot clockwise into a right forward bow facing 6 o'clock as you simultaneously execute a right downward block to the inside of your attacker's left wrist with a left palm strike to your attacker's chin.
3. Execute a left knee strike to your attacker's groin as your right hand checks high at your attacker's shoulder while your left hand checks low on your attacker's right arm.
4. Land forward with your left foot and instantly execute a right knee kick to 4:30 to your attacker's right inner thigh. (During this motion, slide your right hand down your attacker's chest to solar plexus level as you left hand cross checks to your attacker's chest.
5. From the right knee kick, execute a right stomp to your attacker's right instep as you execute a right inward diagonal elbow strike to the left side of your attacker's jaw.
6. Cross out to 1:30.
Leap from Danger (Rear- Two-Hand Push)
1. An attacker at 6 o'clock pushes you with both hands.
2. As you attacker pushes you, take a forward roll on your right shoulder to 12 o'clock. Leap up into a left neutral bow facing 6 o'clock.
3. As your attacker then proceeds to attack you with a right punch, leap to 4:30 with your left foot and execute a right round kick to your attacker's solar plexus. (Your left hand should be guarding low, right like an extended outward block.)
4. Plant your right foot to 7:30 as a gauging leg. Pivot counterclockwise and execute a left spinning rear kick to your attacker's right ribs.
5. Cross out to 1:30.
Circles of Protection (Front- Right Step-Through Overhead Punch)
1. An attacker from 12 o'clock comes at you with a right step-through overhead punch.
2. Step your left foot to 12 o'clock into a left forward bow as you simultaneously execute a right upward block under and outside your attacker's right punch. [Meet the force first, then ride the force.]
Grafting Flow3. Shift into a left neutral bow as you execute a left upward ripping claw to your attacker's face (under your attacker's right arm).

4. Continue circling your left arm counterclockwise as you force your attacker's right arm down to the right of their body. Simultaneous with this motion, continue the clockwise circle of your right hand as you execute a right underhand claw to your attacker's groin. 5. Instantly execute a left backfist to your attacker's face as you simultaneously push-drag forward and pull on your attacker's testicles with your right hand.
6. Cross out to 6 o'clock.
Rotating Destruction (Front- Right Step-Through Front Kick; followed by a Left Spinning Rear Kick)
1. An attacker from 12 o'clock comes at you with a right step-through front kick.
2. From a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock, have your right hand hang low. As the front kick comes in, pivot into a right reverse close kneel as you execute a right inward downward (palm down) block. Pivot back into a right neutral bow as your right hand converts into a right extended outward block and forces your attacker's leg out.
3. As you turn them to 3 o'clock, they spin and throw a left spinning rear kick.
4. Drop your right foot to 6 o'clock into a left front twist stance as you execute a right downward block to the outside of your attacker's left leg.
Grafting Flow5. Using the torque from the stance, pivot clockwise and execute a left round kick to your attacker's head.
6. Land forward into a left neutral bow as you immediately deliver a right spinning hook kick to your attacker's solar plexus.
7. Cross out to 7:30.
8. Survey.
9. Return by executing a right hopping knife-edge kick to your attacker.
10. Cross out to 7:30.
Broken Gift (Front- Handshake)
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock grabs your right hand with their right hand.
2. Step your left foot to 12 o'clock into a left neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as your left hand grabs your attacker's hand and execute a left upward flapping elbow under the joint of your attacker's right elbow.
Grafting Flow3. Step your left foot to 6 o'clock into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you jerk your attacker's right arm down past your left hip.
4. As you settle into the right neutral bow, execute a right backfist to your attacker's right temple.
5. Step your left foot to 4:30 into a right neutral bow facing 10:30 as you execute a left inward elbow to your attacker's left jaw.
6. Cross out to 4:30.
Escape from Death (Rear- Right Arm Choke)
1. An attacker at 6 o'clock chokes you with their right arm.
2. Step your right foot to 3 o'clock into a horse stance facing 12 o'clock as you turn your head to the left to tuck your chin while your right hand grabs your attacker's right wrist. As you settle into your stance, pull down on your attacker's right wrist as you execute a left back elbow strike to your attacker's solar plexus. Immediately execute a left back hammerfist to your attacker's groin.
3. Step your left leg around and behind your attacker's right leg to 7:30 as you drop into a left close kneel as you deliver a right hammerfist to your attacker's groin and a left hammerfist to your attacker's left kidney.
4. Circle your left hand over your attacker's right shoulder and grab hold of the hair or philtrim. [Use this to fulcrum your attacker's head back, using the shoulder as the fulcrum point.]
5. Pivot into a left forward bow facing 7:30 as execute a palm strike to your attacker's face while executing a left sliding check down your attacker's right arm.
6. Execute a right knee strike to the outside of your attacker's right thigh.
7. Plant your right foot back to 1:30. Cross out.
Capturing the Storm (Front- Right Step-Through Club)
1. An attacker from 12 o'clock comes at you with a right step-through overhead club.
2. Step your left foot to 11 o'clock into a horse stance facing 12 o'clock as your execute an upward cross block (right over left) so that it wedges against your attacker's right wrist. Note: Angle the cross block off to 1:30 so a club doesn't get dropped on your head (or get out of the line of attack.)
Grafting Flow3. Without hesitation grab your attacker's right wrist with both of your hands as you control and guide your attacker's right arm down in a clockwise circle so that your attacker's club strikes against their own right knee.
4. Continue to circle your attacker's right arm clockwise as you step to 10:30 with your right foot while guiding your attacker's right arm (with club) up and over your left shoulder.
5. Retain the grab with your left hand as your right hand grabs the free end of the club.
6. Circle your left foot counterclockwise as it plants to 10:30 into a right neutral bow facing 4:30. As you settle into your stance, you will be holding your attacker's right arm in front of you, strike down with the club to the back of your attacker's right elbow. Note: After this, some teach the extension where you take the club to the back of your attacker's head, the front and then the back of their knee, finished with a left leg sweep to 6 o'clock with a right inward strike to your attacker's forehead.
7. (Normally, without the extras) Cross out to 12 o'clock.
Intercepting the Ram (Front- Tackle)
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock tries to tackle you.
2. Hop forward on your left foot to 11 o'clock as you simultaneously execute a right knee kick to your attacker's solar plexus with a right inward overhead hammerfist to your attacker's right kidney. Your left hand will check at your attacker's right arm.
3. With your attacker's momentum forcing you backwards, drop your right foot to 6 o'clock into a left neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a left inward elbow strike to your attacker's upper spine. Your right hand will act as a sliding check.
4. Step your left foot to 4:30 into a right neutral bow as you execute a right inward downward diagonal punch that converts into a forearm elbow smash to the left side of your attacker's jaw.
5. Continue to pivot to your left as you execute a right rear heel scoop kick to the right side of your attacker's jaw.
6. Plant your right foot to 4:30 into a front crossover. Cross out.
The Back Breaker (Right Flank- Right Step-Through Punch)
1. An attacker at 3 o'clock comes at you with a right step-through punch.
2. Step your right foot to 1:30 as you execute a left inward parry to the outside of your attacker's wrist followed by a right outward parry to the outside of your attacker's right elbow.
Grafting Flow3. Step to 1:30 with your left foot as your right hand grabs your attacker's right shoulder. Pivot so as your left hand grabs the back of your attacker's left shoulder.
4. Immediately step your right foot back to 1:30 into a left neutral bow as you pull with both of your arms. Execute a right knee kick to your attacker's lower spine as you anchor your elbows in.
5. Land back to 1:30 into a left neutral bow as you increase your pull to cause your attacker to strike his upper spine on your left knee.
6. Grab your attacker's chin with your right hand as your left hand goes to the right side of their head. Twist your attacker's head clockwise, possibly breaking your attacker's neck.
7. Reverse the motion of your right hand and execute a right inward handsword to the bridge of your attacker's nose.
8. Execute two downward backfists to your attacker's left and right humorous (right to right; left to left)
9. As soon as the strikes land, step your left foot to 1:30 into a right close kneel as you execute two claws to your attacker's face.
10. Pivot counterclockwise into a right reverse close kneel as the right side of your foot strikes your attacker's right jaw hinge.
11. Execute a right heel stomp to your attacker's right shoulder. (This is done without lifting your right foot.)
12. Cross out to 1:30.
Deceptive Panther (Front- Right Front Kick; followed by a Right Round Kick)
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock throws a right front kick followed by a high right round kick. Note: Most knowledgeable Kenpoists would be amazed if you could see and block these two kicks well. Most just train it for a right round kick.
2. From a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock, step your left foot up the circle to 4:30 into a right cat stance as you execute a left downward block to the first kick followed by a right inward block to the second kick.
Grafting Flow3. Execute a right knife-edge kick to your attacker's left inner knee.
Grafting Flow4. Land into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock. As you land, execute a right downward backfist to your attacker's right mastoid.

5. Without a loss of motion, pivot clockwise into a twist stance as you execute a left hammerfist down onto the right side of your attacker's neck.
6. Pivot counterclockwise out of your twist stance as you execute a right stiff-arm rising back knuckle strike to your attacker's face while your left hand checks at your attacker's right shoulder.
7. As you continue the pivot execute a right rear kick that employs both thrusting and lifting methods in it.
8. Cross out to 4:30.
1. An attacker at 6 o'clock puts you in a full nelson.
2. Stiffen your body and force your neck back. (This will cause your attacker to concentrate on keeping your head forward.) Take advantage of this by stepping your right foot to 3 o'clock into a horse stance facing 12 o'clock.
3. Slide your left to your right into a transitional cat stance. Immediately step your left foot to 7:30 behind your attacker's right leg. As you bend over borrowing your attacker's force, have your arms directly grab to the back of your attacker's knees. (Right to right, left to left).
4. Turn counterclockwise as you lift your attacker's legs off the ground. You will step your left foot to 4:30 followed by your right foot to 6 o'clock followed by your left to 7:30.
5. Cross out to 1:30. Note: There is a reason this is nicknamed the Nothing Technique
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock chokes you with both of their hands.
2. Step your right foot to 12 o'clock into a right neutral bow as you clasp your hands together and execute two upward wedging forearm strike to the inside of your attacker's forearms to break the choke.
3. Pivot slightly to your left as your right wedge becomes a right upward elbow strike to your attacker's chin. (Hands are still clasped together until this strike.)
Grafting Flow4. Release your clasp and pivot back into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a right downward elbow to your attacker's sternum. This becomes a right downward backfist to your attacker's face.
5. Immediately execute a left overhand claw to your attacker's face as you settle into a right forward bow facing 12 o'clock.
6. Pivot back into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a right half-fist uppercut to your attacker's throat as your left hand slides down your attacker's right arm and pulls down past your left ribs.

1. An attacker at 12 o'clock comes at you with a right step-through round club.
2. Step to 12 o'clock with your left foot into a left neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a left extended outward block to the inside of your attacker's right wrist simultaneous with a right vertical punch to your attacker's face.
3. Slide your right foot back to 10:30 into a left neutral bow facing 4:30 as you execute a left uppercut around and under your attacker's left arm.
Grafting Flow4. Shift your left foot back to 11 o'clock while still pinning your attacker's arm. Circle your right foot clockwise so it goes around and behind your attacker's right leg. Thrust your right leg to 6 o'clock into a left forward bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a right palm strike to your attacker's jaw. (These simultaneous moves should buckle your attacker's leg and send them to the ground.) (Your left hand will also slide along your attacker's right arm as they fall to the ground.)

5. Cross out to 7:30.
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock grabs your lapel with their right hand.
2. Step your right foot to 12 o'clock into a right neutral bow to the outside of your attacker's leg as your left hand pins your attacker's right grabbing hand as you simultaneously execute a right upward elbow to your attacker's right shoulder.
3. Convert the forward momentum into rotational force as you pivot counterclockwise into a right reverse bow as your elbow forces your attacker to fall over your right leg and go to the ground.
4. As your attacker falls (with their head to 6 o'clock) maintain control of your attacker's right wrist. As your attacker makes contact with the ground, pivot into a left reverse bow as your right hand twists your attacker's wrist clockwise and you execute a left underhand palm strike to break your attacker's elbow.
5. Execute a left knee strike to your attacker's elbow. From point of contact, execute a left knife-edge kick to the right side of your attacker's neck. (As you kick, pull on your attacker's right arm; you may just be able to dislocate it.)
6. Have your left hand circle inside your attacker's right arm as you plant your left foot to 5 o'clock. Immediately pivot into a left forward bow as you have your left hand grab your attacker's wrist and twist it counterclockwise.
7. Execute a right slicing kick (using your right outer shin) to strike to the back of your attacker's right elbow. Your foot will strike your attacker's back and pass through.
8. Reverse the motion of your right kick and execute a right heel scoop to your attacker's right kidney or ribs.
9. Execute a right downward looping round kick to your attacker's solar plexus.
10. Execute a right front crossover sweep of your attacker's right arm as you cross out to 4:30.
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock comes at you with a right step-through punch. Note: Most train this and have you pretend there is a wall behind you.
2. Step your left foot to 11 o'clock as you execute a left inward parry to the outside of your attacker's punch. As you settle into the stance, execute a right inward handsword to your attacker's right biceps.
3. Execute a right backfist to your attacker's temple as your left hand grabs your attacker's right wrist.
4. Grab your attacker's right shoulder with your right hand and anchor your elbows and hug close. This will cancel your attacker's height and depth zones.
5. Step your left foot back to 4:30. Pivot counterclockwise and slam your attacker against the wall.
6. As your attacker hits the wall, simultaneously execute a right knee strike to your attacker's groin with a right inward elbow strike to your attacker's throat.
7. Land back into a left neutral bow. Pull your left foot to your right and pivot, executing a right rear kick to your attacker.
8. Cross out to 10:30.
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock comes at you with a right snap kick.
2. Step back with your right foot to 6 o'clock into a left forward bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a downward cross block on top of your attacker's right ankle. Convert your left hand into a downward outward hooking crane to force your attacker's leg outside and past your left hip.
3. Execute a right backfist to your attacker's right face as your left trails behind. Your right hand will travel through your attacker's face as you follow with a left inward overhead palm strike to your attacker's right jawbone.
4. Grab your attacker's hair with your left hand. Execute a right front kick to your attacker's groin. As you land back into your left forward bow, execute a right rising back knuckle to your attacker's face.
5. Slide your left foot back into a left cat stance as you twist your attacker's neck counterclockwise.
6. Execute a left front kick to your attacker's groin.
7. Plant and gauge your distance. Execute a right outward crescent kick that makes contact on its downside to the right side of your attacker's head. (This should cause your attacker to fall.)
8. Have you right kick pass through your attacker's head. Have it bounce off the ground and execute a right downward looping round kick to your attacker's face.
9. Cross out to 7:30.

6. As you land forward to 7:30 in a right neutral bow, execute a right inward elbow with a left palm strike to sandwich your attacker's head.
7. Cross out to 3 o'clock.
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock comes at you with a right round kick while you are kneeling.
2. Step your right foot to 12 o'clock as you execute a right inward scooping block followed by a let extended outward block to the top of your attacker's right leg. Immediately turn your right inward block into a right forearm parry to force your attacker's leg to your left.
3. Step drag forward as you execute a right upward to your attacker's groin. As your block completes its path of travel, turn it into a right positional upward block (palm facing you) as you execute a left underhand palm strike to your attacker's groin.
4. With your left hand still under your attacker's testicles, pull them to you and execute a right downward backfist to sandwich your attacker's testicles. Note: This should nauseate your attacker and very well cause them to vomit on you.
5. Switch the position of your feet (left to front, right to rear) as your left hand checks your attacker's midsection and your right hand contours down your attacker's left leg.
6. As you stand into a left neutral bow, execute a left inward elbow to your attacker's solar plexus as you jerk and pull with your right hand on your attacker's left leg.
7. Slide your right hand over on the top of your attacker's left toes. Your left hand will grab over and on top of your attacker's outer foot. Step your left foot back to 6 o'clock into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you begin to rotate your attacker onto their stomach. Pivot into a right reverse bow facing 1 o'clock as you finish the twisting of their ankle, flipping them onto their stomach.
8. Step your left foot to 10 o'clock as you execute a modified front crossover (modification due to combination of twist stance and close kneel. Step your right foot over and to the inside of your attacker's right leg into a right reverse to 10:30, settling down as you straighten your right leg underneath your attacker's left leg. As you settle, push down on top of your attacker's left foot to force, lock, or break his left knee.
9. Execute a right inward downward parry (crane shaped) as you attacker's leg away from you.
10. Execute a left to rear, right to front switch to gauge your attacker's next move. Pivot your entire body counterclockwise and execute a left rear kick to your attacker's groin.
11. Cross out to 6 o'clock.
1. An attacker at 12 o'clock comes at you with a left uppercut.
2. From a right neutral bow, simultaneously execute a right inward block diagonally down onto the punch as you execute a left vertical punch to your attacker's face.
3. Without hesitation, hook your left hand down and out in a clockwise motion to the outside of your attacker's left arm as you execute a right punch to your attacker's left ribs.
4. Step your left foot to 4:30 into a right neutral bow facing 10:30 as your left hand hooks to the back of your attacker's neck.
5. With your attacker bending over, execute a right inward downward punch that becomes a forearm and elbow strike to the left side of your attacker's face.
6. Cross out to 4:30.
