2. Step your left foot to 6 o'clock into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute twin outward crane hooks (fingers down) to the inside of your attacker's wrists. Jerk your attacker's arms to you so they travel outside and down past your hips.

3. Reverse the motion of your hands as you convert them into twin uppercut punches to your attacker's floating ribs.

4. Upon recoil from the punches, cross your fists and execute twin scissoring backfists to your attacker's jaw.

5. While your hands are crossed, execute twin scissoring two-finger pokes (right to right; left to left).

6. With your hands still crossed, drop them onto your attacker's shoulders to act as a gravitational check as you execute a left knee kick to your attacker's groin.

7. Execute a right knee kick to your attacker's solar plexus.

8. Land into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a right inward elbow to your attacker's left jaw as your left hand turns your attacker's left shoulder clockwise so that your attacker's back is towards you.

9. With your attacker's back to you, have your right hand regrab your attacker's right shoulder as you step your right foot back to 4:30 into a left neutral bow as you use both of your arms to cause your attacker to lose their balance.

10. As they begin to fall backwards, execute a right knee kick to your attacker's lower spine.

11. Plant your right foot back to point of origin as you execute a left knee kick to your attacker's right kidney. From the knee strike, execute a left knife-edge kick to the back of your attacker's right knee.

12. Cross out to 4:30.

Twirling Hammers (Front- Left Step-Through Punch)

1. An attacker at 12 o'clock comes at you with a left step-through punch.

Grafting Flow
3. Step your right foot to 1:30 into a right neutral bow as you execute a right looping overhead backfist (hooking back and toward you) to your attacker's right jaw. (Your left block is still checking at this point).

4. Continue the looping action of your backfist to become a right pressing check to your attacker's left arm as you simultaneously execute a left inward horizontal elbow strike to your attacker's left ribs.

5. Without hesitation, switch your left elbow back to a check (hooking over your attacker's left arm with your wrist and your palm up). Simultaneously execute a right inward hammerfist diagonally and down to strike your attacker's left kidney.

6. Step your right foot to 4:30 into a left forward bow as you circle your right hand under and around to countergrab your attacker's right wrist and jerk your attacker off balance.

7. Execute a right thrusting sweep kick to the shin of your attacker's right leg as you execute simultaneously execute a right vertical punch to your attacker's face with a left palm strike to the back of your attacker's head to sandwich them.

8. Land back into a left neutral bow as you execute a left inward claw to your attacker's face. Immediately snake your left hand around (toward you) and into the front of your attacker's face, and maintaining your right hand as a check, step out with your right foot to 4:30 as you unwind into a left reverse step through to a right neutral bow execute a left outward claw followed by a right two-finger poke to his left eye as your left hand drops to become a check in the neutral zone.

9. Execute a right front crossover and cross out to 6 o'clock.

Without any hesitation drop down into a left wide kneel facing 1 o'clock as you pull your attacker down with both of your hands forcing back of opponent's right elbow onto your left knee in order to cause an arm break. (Your left hand will fulcrum on top of your attacker's right shoulder and back.)

5. Grab your attacker's right wrist with your left and assist your right hand in twisting your attacker's wrist counterclockwise as you step your left foot back to 9 o'clock into a left wide kneel facing 9 o'clock. As you step, simultaneously have both of your hands force your attacker's knife (if they are still holding onto the knife) into your attacker's throat. Note: If your attacker drops the knife on the arm break maintain the hold on your attacker's right wrist with your left hand as your right hand grabs the knife and stabs your attacker in the throat.

6. Grab your attacker's right wrist with your right hand. As you release your left hand grab, shift it so it grabs the back of your attacker's right hand (reverse it clockwise with your left palm facing away from you). As your left hand twists your attacker's right hand clockwise to sprain or break the wrist, wrap your attacker's left arm around your left leg. Rotate your left hand clockwise while pushing down on your attacker's right elbow with a right palm strike to possibly dislocate your attacker's right shoulder.

7. Regrab your attacker's right wrist with your right hand (clockwise and palm out; under your attacker's wrist) as your left hand releases its grab. Instantly pivot into a left reverse bow as your right hand maintains its grab and twists your attacker's arm clockwise. Simultaneous with the twist and pivot, execute a left palm strike to your attacker's right elbow to break (again).

8. Cock your left leg and execute a left heel stomp to the right side of your attacker's neck as both of your hands grab and pull up (toward you) on your attacker's arm to cause further shoulder dislocation.

9. Force your attacker's arm to the ground and execute a left front crossover stomp on top of your attacker's right wrist.

10. Cross out twice toward 4:30.

Escape from Darkness (Left Rear Flank- Right Step-Through Punch)

1. An attacker at 7:30 comes at you with a right step-through punch.

2. Hop toward 1:30 onto your right foot into a transitional right one-leg stance and execute a left thrusting knife-edge kick to the outside of your attacker's right knee. (Your hands are positionally checking to your left.

3. Plant your left foot toward 7:30 (gauging for proper distance) and spin clockwise as you execute a right spinning stiff-leg sweep to the back of your attacker's right knee. (This should cause your attacker's right knee to buckle).

4. Pivot your upper body clockwise and plant your right foot forward into a right neutral bow facing 7:30. Step your left foot to 7:30 into a left neutral bow as your right hand gravitationally checks your attacker's right shoulder with your left knee braces against your attacker's back. Simultaneously execute a left vertical punch to the right side of your attacker's jaw. (The force of your punch should carry your fist through, and in front of your attacker's face.)

Grafting Flow
5. With your left knee checking your attacker's back, reverse the motion of your left hand and execute a left outward claw across your attacker's face. Simultaneously execute a right inward downward diagonal hammerfist strike to the left side of your attacker's jaw. (This strike concludes with your right forearm dropping on top of and to the back your attacker's right shoulder to keep him in check.)

6. Slide your right foot clockwise to 4:30 into a left neutral bow facing 10:30 as your right hand (which is still to the left of your attacker's face) grabs under your attacker's jaw. As you pull with your right hand, execute a left heel palm strike to your attacker's right mastoid. (The simultaneous pull and strike is for the purpose of snapping your attacker's neck.)

7. Left front crossover, and cover out toward 4:30.

8. Survey.

9. With your attacker still on his knees execute a right rear crossover followed by a left hook kick to your attacker's face. (Your attacker should fall to the ground.)

10. From the point of contact of your kick, execute a left front crossover, and cross out to 4:30.

Capturing the Rod (Front- Right Pistol Against your Chest)

1. At attacker at 12 o'clock has a gun in the right hand against your chest.

2. Step your right foot to 12 o'clock into a right neutral bow as you pivot your upper counterclockwise to get out of the gun's line of fire. As you pivot, execute a left outward parry to deflect the gun as you simultaneously grab the gun at the chamber or hammer with your right hand.

3. With your right hand in control of your attacker's gun, execute a left two-finger poke to your attacker's eyes. Snap the poke out and back and instantly grab under your attacker's gun beneath the barrel.

4. Step your right foot to 6 o'clock into a left neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you twist your attacker's wrist clockwise so that the gun is now pointing at your attacker.

5. Pivot into a left forward bow facing 12 o'clock as you have your right hand jerk the gun from your attacker's hand (possibly breaking his trigger finger) while your left hand checks your attacker's hand. Simultaneous with this action, execute a right front kick to your attacker's groin. Note: The pull away should cause the gun to travel down and past your right hip.

6. Land forward from the kick into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a rising stiff-arm strike with the butt of the pistol to your attacker's jaw while your left hand checks at your attacker's right arm.

7. Reverse the motion of the strike and hit the left side of your attacker's jaw with a downward pistol strike.

8. Step back to 6 o'clock with your right foot as you execute a right strike to the right side of your attacker's jaw with the pistol. Loop this strike outward and diagonally down as you settle into your left neutral bow.

9. Execute a front crossover to 4:30 as you point the gun at your attacker and begin to cross out.

Prance of the Tiger (Right Flank- Right Step-Through Uppercut)

1. An attacker at 3 o'clock comes comes at you with a right step-through uppercut.

2. Step your right foot to 6 o'clock into a left cat stance facing 12 o'clock as you execute a left downward hooking parry to the inside of your attacker's right elbow as you simultaneously execute a right ascending forearm check. Follow this check with a right sweeping inward downward block to the inside of your attacker's right arm. [Your right hand will end up cocked palm up at your left hip while your left hand is positioned in front of your solar plexus.]

3. Instantly execute a left thrusting sweep kick to the shin of your attacker's right leg as you continue to check with your left hand.

4. Continue this flow of action as you execute a right knife-edge kick to the inside of your attacker's left knee as you simultaneously execute a right outward backfist to your attacker's right temple.

5. From the point of contact of your right kick, sweep your attacker's right foot out with a right front crossover sweep. As your foot settles into the twist stance, execute a right outward two-finger eye hook to your attacker's right eye while your left hand still checks your attacker's right arm. Note: The eye hook is done a quarter beat after the sweep.

6. Pivot counterclockwise into a left reverse bow as convert your stance into a left spinning stiff-leg sweep towards 1:30. (Your left hand will continue to check your attacker's arms.

7. Continue to pivot counterclockwise into a left bow facing 4:30 as you simultaneously execute a right knee kick to your attacker's solar plexus with a right inward overhead hammerfist to the back of your attacker's neck. (Your left hand will check at your attacker's right shoulder.)

8. Switch your hands so that your right hand now checks your attacker's right shoulder as you simultaneously execute a left knee strike to the underside of your attacker's chin with a left inward overhead hammerfist to the back of your attacker's head.

9. From the knee strike, land in a front crossover to 7:30 as you execute a left palm strike to the back of your attacker's head to force them to the ground.

10. Cross out.

Broken Rod (Rear- Right Pistol, Against your Back)

1. An attacker at 6 o'clock puts a gun in their right hand against your back.

2. Immediately pivot clockwise into a transitional right front rotating twist stance facing 7:30 as you execute a right outward hooking parry to the outside and on top of your attacker's right hand and gun. (This gets you out of the line of fire quickly.)

3. Step your left foot to 7:30 without hesitation into a left neutral bow, checking your attacker's right leg with your left knee, as grab your attacker's hand and gun with your right hand and simultaneously execute a left uppercut to the the underside of your attacker's elbow to break it. (This break should cause a release of the gun.)

4. Slide your left foot to 1 o'clock as you step your right foot to 5 o'clock into a right neutral bow as you gravitationally check your attacker's right shoulder with your left hand while yanking the gun free from your attacker's right hand if it is not already free.

5. Execute a right vertical upward strike to your attacker's chin with the butt of the pistol. In the same motion loop the pistol clockwise and come back down with an inward strike to strike your attacker's throat or sternum.

6. Hop to 4:30 into a left one-leg stance as you loop the pistol counterclockwise into a outward downward hammering strike to the back of your attacker's right elbow. (Your left hand continues checking at your attacker's shoulder.

7. Execute a right knife edge kick to the back of your attacker's closest knee.

8. As you land forward into a right neutral bow to 10 o'clock execute a right inward upward rake with the butt of the pistol to your attacker's right lower ribs, striking inward and diagonally upward.

9. Instantly pivot clockwise into a right front rotating twist stance as we strike diagonally down (from left to right) to the back of your attacker's neck with the butt of the pistol following through so that you continue the action into a left inward downward palm strike to the back of your attacker's head. Then drop your left hand to pin your attacker's right shoulder.

10. Pivot counterclockwise as you simultaneously execute a right upward diagonal strike (left to right) to your attacker's face. Continue this rotational momentum and step your right foot to 3 o'clock into a left neutral bow facing 9 o'clock.

11. As you execute left front crossover to 3:00 o'clock point the gun in the proper firing position at your attacker.

Entwined Maces (Front- Left & Right Punch Combination)

1. An attacker at 12 o'clock comes at you with a left punch.

2. Step your left foot back to 6 o'clock into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a right inward hand sword parry to the outside and on top of your attacker's left wrist. Continue the looping figure eight pattern as your attacker throws a right punch at you. Execute a right extended outward hand sword to the outside and on top of your attacker's right wrist. Note: This should cross them up and cancel their width zones. Just remember to leave a margin for error, block with your arm; do not try to needle your hand around your attacker's fists.

Grafting Flow
3. Grab your attacker's right wrist with your right hand as you execute a push drag. Pivot into a right forward bow facing 12 o'clock as you simultaneously pull on your attacker's arm as you execute a left vertical punch to your attacker's face.

4. Pivot back into a right neutral bow facing 12 o'clock as you execute a right thrusting inward hand sword to your attacker's neck.

Grafting Flow

Grafting Flow
7. Pivot clockwise into a right front rotating twist stance as you execute a right upward block simultaneous with a left palm strike to your attacker's sternum. Note: The upward block should strike up to your attacker's face and rake as it turns over. The twist, the palm strike, and the upward block should knock your attacker back a bit.
Grafting Flow
8. Execute a right knee as the twist and upward block finish (a continuation of that rotational force). Thread the right knee into your attacker's groin.

9. Land with your right foot back to 6 o'clock into a right neutral bow as you execute a right inward hammerfist down onto your attacker's left collarbone. Note: I have seen this done stepping towards your attacker with your left foot and then stepping your right foot through a stutter step to get the marriage of gravity and back up mass into your right hammerfist.

10. Step your left foot behind your right into a rear crossover and execute a right rear kick to your attacker's solar plexus.

11. Cross out towards 6 o'clock.

Defying the Rod (Front- Right Pistol)

1. An attacker at 12 o'clock holds a right pistol at you.

2. Pivot counterclockwise as you slide your left foot to 1:30 into a left front rotating twist stance as you execute a left outward hooking parry (palm up). (This step and pivot is to get you off to the right and out of the line of fire.)

4. Land towards 11:00 o'clock into a right neutral bow to buckle the inside of your attacker's right knee as your right hand grabs your attacker's right hand and yanks down and slightly to your left, pulling your attacker into a right upward flapping elbow strike to the underside of your attacker's chin.

5. Remove the gun from his right hand with your right hand while maintaining the right hand grab with your left hand. As you step back to 6 o'clock with your right foot into a left neutral bow facing 12 o'clock, execute a right outward downward diagonal strike with the butt of the gun to the back and left side of your attacker's head. (Your left hand continues to check your attacker's right arm out to the left.)

6. With the pistol and your right hand forming an open end triangle, anchor your elbow to pull your attacker's head down towards you as you execute a right knee kick to your attacker's sternum. Continue the counterclockwise circle and execute a right inward overhead hammering pistol butt strike to the back of your attacker's spine as your knee hits, creating a sandwich. (Your left hand is still checking your attacker's right shoulder.)

7. With your right knee still in your attacker's chest, execute a right front snapping instep kick to your attacker's groin.

8. From point of contact, execute a right knife-edge kick to the inside of your attacker's left knee.

9. From point of contact, execute a right front crossover to 4:30 as your right hand circles counterclockwise and strikes with the butt of the pistol to the outside and underside of your attacker's right elbow, forcing your attacker's arm against their ribs. (Your left hand will check high.)

10. At the very moment you plant into your crossover execute a right outward downward strike with the butt of the gun to your attacker's head.

11. Pivot counterclockwise as you execute a left spinning rear kick to any available opening.

12. As you complete the kick, take the gun by the barrel with your left hand and cross out with your left towards 6 o'clock. As you step out to 6 o'clock with your right foot, have the barrel of the gun aiming at your attacker in the proper manner.

5. Pivot into a right neutral bow as you execute a right thrusting inward hand sword to the left side of your attacker's neck. (Your left will return to check at your solar plexus.)

Grafting Flow
6. Immediately step your left foot into a left front crossover as you have your right hand circle counterclockwise diagonally down to force your attacker's right arm against the right side of their body. (Your right elbow should also check off your attacker's left arm.) Simultaneous with this action, circle your left hand clockwise as you execute a left inward palm strike to the right side of your attacker's jaw.

7. Step your right foot to 11 o'clock into a right neutral bow still facing 12 o'clock to buckle the inside your attacker's right knee as you simultaneously execute a right inward elbow to the left side of your attacker's face.

3. Step forward and outside of your attacker's right leg with your right foot to 11 o'clock into a right neutral bow as your right forearm pins against the back of your attacker's right hand to force it back.

4. Pivot in place counterclockwise into a right reverse bow facing 6 o'clock, as your left hand and right forearm twist your attacker's right wrist and arm counterclockwise to break the wrist as your attacker is thrown over your right leg to land on the ground (with back of ground and head toward 4:30).

5. Without hesitation execute a right shovel kick (first the ball of your foot then the heel in the same motion) to your attacker's right ribs (following through and then up.)

6. Come down with a right point of heel stomp to the head of the humorous at your attacker's left shoulder. Plant your right foot just to the right of your attacker's left arm and pivot counterclockwise into a left close kneel stance and immediately drop your right knee down onto your attacker's throat as you simultaneously execute a right two-finger poke to your attacker's eyes.
