Brian Price

Mr. Brian Price began his pursuit of the study of Martial Arts in 1970 when he was just 10 years old. At that time, and for the following 20 years, he was studying and training in the Tracy's Kenpo System developed by Mr. Al & Jim Tracy in 1961. The studio was owned & operated by Mr. Lou Casamassa that later became the Red Dragon system. The system featured American Karate composed of the Tracy's material & other major styles as well. He received a Junior Black Belt in 1976 and went on to receive a Senior Black Belt in 1978. Around 1990, he began teaching lessons out of his garage.

In 1990, Mr. Price began studying with Mr. Ronemus in York, Pennsylvania. Mr. Ronemus was the first to introduce Mr. Price to the Ed Parker system, originally developed by Mr. Ed Parker in the 1950's. Through Mr. Ronemus' instruction, Mr. Price earned the rank of Black Belt and continued to study and advance with Mr. Ronemus in the Ed Parker System until 1997.

The Parker System is the system that Mr. Price continues to learn and teach today. Mr. Price was an active member of the Worldwide Kenpo Karate Association (WKKA) for 4 years. Eventually, Mr. Price founded his own school in 1993 -- "Price's American Kenpo Karate Center" --which is located in Leesport, PA.

In 1997, Mr. Price began studying under the lineage of Mr. Huk Planas and Mr. Lee Wedlake. Mr. Planas and Mr. Wedlake were 1st generation students of Mr. Parker. Mr. Price took private lessons with Mr. Planas as much as he could while at the same time continuing his studies with Mr. Ronemus. Mr. Price attends all of Mr. Planas' Kenpo seminars held in Pennsylvania and is an active member of the Chinese Karate Federation (CKF), which was founded under Mr. Wedlake and Mr. Sean Kelley. Mr. Kelley, a student of Mr. Planas and Mr. Wedlake, is currently the president of the Chinese Karate Federation and has been a guest at Mr. Price's studio for seminars. In the past, Mr. Price has also held seminars with guests such as Mr. Huk Planas, Mr. Dave Hebler, and Mr. Gary Ronemus.

Mr. Price is currently training with Mr. Kelley and Mr. Planas and continues to host seminars whenever possible to demonstrate his unending support of the Ed Parker System of Kenpo.
