Jamie Seabrook


Jamie Seabrook began his Kenpo Karate training in 1985. He is a 6th Degree Black Belt in American Kenpo Karate and received this rank from Grandmaster Larry Tatum in March 2004. He also holds black belts in Modern Arnis, Black Dragon Kung Fu, and Shorinji-Ryu Karate.

In 2000, Jamie Seabrook was inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame in Newport Beach, California, for his leadership in the art of American Kenpo Karate. He has also received two special honors and recognitions for his contributions to the martial arts: (1) Kenpo Spirit Award, 2005, from Professor Sean Kelley, Grandmaster Dave Hebler, and Senior Professor Rainer Schulte; (2) Appreciation Award, 2006, from the Dai Nippon Butoku Kai Rensei TaiKai, Kyoshi Christopher DiLiberto, 8th Degree Black Belt in Okinawan Gojo-Ryu Karate-jutsu and 8th Degree Black Belt in Okinawan Kobo-jutsu.

Jamie Seabrook has been running his own Kenpo Karate School in London, Ontario, since 1995, and has taught Kenpo Karate seminars across North America. He has published two books on the martial arts: (1) Martial Arts Revealed: Benefits, Problems, and Solutions; and (2) American Kenpo Mastery: A Guide for Students and Instructors.

Jamie Seabrook has won championships in black belt forms, weapons, sparring, and self-defense at the regional, national, and international levels. In 2006, he won gold in forms and silver in sparring at the 2006 LTKKA World Kenpo Karate Championships in Baltimore, Maryland, in the 4th degree black belt and higher division.

Jamie Seabrook has been featured in Martial Arts Competitor Magazine (2004) and was interviewed by Sport Karate Canada and on television for his accomplishments. Jamie Seabrook holds an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario and lives happily with his wife Chantel, and daughters Morgan and Madison.
