Larry Lauer

Mr. Larry Lauer was among the first students in Canada to recieve his black belt under Mr. Chuck Sullivan's IKCA.

Prior to opening the Alberta Kenpo Karate Studio's in Morinville, Mr. Lauer was a partner in a club in Edmonton, Alberta which featured several different styles of martial arts. Being a resident of Morinville, and seeing the need for more affordable activities for children, Mr. Lauer decided that it was time to branch out on his own and open up a local school on a permanent location. The success of the school
has shown him that he made the right decision and looks forward to a long and bright future for the students.

Mr. Lauer began his training in 1974 in the art of Kempo Karate and then later in Kick Boxing. It was in 1991 that he began training full-time. Mr. Lauer has a earned a blackbelt in White Tiger Kung-fu and is a certified 4th degree black belt in Chinese Kenpo Karate, which is the style that is taught at the Alberta Kenpo Karate Studio.
