Ron Braughton

Mr. Ron Braughton has been involved in the study of
the martial arts for approximately 30 years and is the owner and head
instructor of Braughton's Imua Kenpo Karate in Chelan, Washington. He
was promoted to 1st Degree Black Belt by Mr. Dave Hebler in 1971 and
to his current rank of 8th Degree Black Belt in 1995. He is also recognized
by the All Okinawa Kempo Karate Association in Okinawa, and possesses
an Unlimited Karate Teaching Certificate. Mr. Braughton has also trained
extensively in Kali/Escrima and Indonesian Kun Tao.
Mr. Braughton was a member of our Armed Forces Special Operations Community for over 20 years as a trainer, "operator" and operational medical asset, serving with the U.S. Army Special Forces and Rangers, and the U.S. Navy SEALs. In addition, Mr. Braughton has a vast amount of operational experiences within the law enforcement community having served as an operational asset and trainer with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency's "Operation Snowcap" in South America. He was also a SWAT team member with a Sheriff's office in California. Mr. Braughton is also a Certified Police Defensive Tactics Instructor. Mr. Braughton graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine and is currently the Vice-President of Pacific Cascade Emergency Associates, where he is also an Emergency Medicine Practitioner.
